Tony’s Photographic #MadCovidDiary 1.4.2020
When the lockdown came in I was already working on a three-year project on loneliness and isolation funded by ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND, so some of the work I’m doing now will be added for exhibitions when this is over, though isolation/loneliness in its broadest sense will not end.
I live in a small village, so every day I go for a short walk in the immediate vicinity avoiding people where possible. I am being mindful of everything around, although the area is familiar (have lived here most of my life ). I am trying to really “ see “ and explore sometimes with emotional equivalents the essence of what the place means to me, and my well being/mental health. This is done under very stringent difficult conditions, of course, I have to be mindful of my health and others, all within walking distance. I’m 65 and have a disability, but this is also therapy : )
Here’s some of the photo’s I’ve taken over the past few days, they will become part of the collection: Brave New World?
